Environmental Stewardship Essentials

Show Auditors and Customers What Responsible Environmental Practice Looks Like

Environmental performance is increasingly assessed alongside labour practices in 4-pillar SMETA and ethical sourcing programs, so being able to show what your business does matters. This course covers the fundamentals of environmental responsibility for Australian and New Zealand businesses, and what evidence auditors and customers expect to see.

You’ll learn how to identify key environmental aspects including waste, water, energy, emissions and chemicals, understand obligations relating to permits, licences and reporting, and conduct environmental risk assessments with suitable controls. You’ll also learn how to maintain records, respond effectively to environmental incidents and identify practical, low-cost improvements for small and medium businesses.
