Why This Training Matters in Industry
Health and safety law in both Australia and New Zealand sets out duties for persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBUs), officers and workers. In Australia, PCBUs must, so far as is reasonably practicable, consult with workers who are directly affected by a health and safety matter.
The hierarchy of controls ranks control measures from the highest level of protection to the lowest, starting with elimination and ending with personal protective equipment. Understanding these duties and applying the hierarchy gives your team a consistent way to reduce risk, learn from incidents and show that health and safety is central to how your business operates.
